doc|UWM prides itself on being more than just a place for learning documentary production. We look to inspire and educate the next generation of non-fiction media makers. In our short history we have already seen more than 100 students come through our doors and head on to a career.

Most students come to doc|UWM as part of one of our documentary project classes. In these classes they are given a chance to work collaboratively with other students, our staff, and our clients. Select students are then offered the opportunity to continue working on projects a either interns, undergraduate research assistants, or even paid positions. Advanced students may get the opportunity to take on larger roles and oversee small projects with guidance from the doc|UWM staff.
