Project Description:

Poetry Everywhere is poetry cinema — on buses television, the Web, and anywhere else that features a screen. It’s a first of its kind, innovative ongoing effort to introduce new audiences to a wide selection of great poetry. Here are fifteen short films, each created by students working with doc|UWM,  in association with the Poetry Foundation. The poems come from a wide range of contemporary poets, and the films employ a stunning variety of techniques, each offering a moment of introspection, wonder – even revelation – to a harried commuter, a TV or Web surfer, or even a young child who has yet to encounter poetry.
