Cream City Soundcheck is a music documentary series that films bands as they perform at popular music venues throughout Milwaukee and explore the city’s unique cultural offerings. Students have produced documentaries on acts such as Generationals, Y.A.C.H.T., Maritime, Kings Go Forth, Paul Cebar, Trapper Schoepp & the Shade, Allen Stone, Blessed Feathers, Field Report, and Milwaukee up-and-comers like The Fatty Acids, Kane Place Record Club, and R.A.S. Movement (featuring Naima Adedapo from American Idol). Each short documentary is designed to highlight a band’s music while showing off their personalities as they partake in distinctive Milwaukee experiences such as – fish fries, brewery tours, playing a game at Koz’s Mini Bowl, visiting the microphone museum, taking a boat ride along the lakefront or getting Leon’s frozen custard on a cold night.
